Business Communication
This course empowers you to master your professional workday in your business job with German-speaking business contacts or in a German-speaking context – no matter your industry. The course helps you meet business-related professional situations on equal footing and communicate purposefully with business partners using German jargon.

We offer an industry overview, and regular roleplay activities (using case studies: summarizing business reports and participating in negotiations), as well as access to the exclusive LcL Phonetics Program in the modern LcL Language Lab.

Overcome challenges related to initiating contact and dealing with foundational office communication, including company correspondence, teamwork, and conflict resolution. Learn to deal professionally with other companies, products, and contractors, as well as images, advertisements, social media, and conventions. Discuss payment, technical competencies, workplace safety, and unemployment. Work on resumes, applications, and text types used routinely in professional life.

Understand the basics of Employment Law, such as legal forms of work and workplace rights and responsibilities. Practice new vocabulary, grammar, and expressions useful for business communication in spoken and written form.
